Norway boosts vaccine R&D
The Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg announced a 500 million kroner (€65m) boost for research into the development of vaccines on 15 September. The money will be channelled through a Norwegian Research Council global health and vaccination research programme called GLOBVAC between 2012 and 2020. The programme focuses on infectious diseases, and is open to applicants the world over.
