Ericsson cuts R&D staff in Sweden

Job losses announced by Swedish telecommunications company Ericsson this month will hit its R&D centres in the country.

The company, which specialises in building and servicing telecommunications networks, announced on 7 November that it would cut 1,550 jobs in Sweden. The news follows a big drop in its third-quarter profits last month.
