Spain announces funding for R&D industry projects

Spain’s ministry for economy and competitiveness has said it will allocate €193 million to 65 industrial research and innovation projects.

The funds comes from the European Regional Development Fund, which aims to increase economic cohesion among EU regions. The money will be administered by Spain’s Centre for Industrial and Technological Development.

According to government’s estimates, 148 companies are involved in the selected projects and 54 per cent of them are small businesses.
