Poland plans plagiarism clampdown

Funding will be granted to universities to introduce measures to tackle plagiarism, Poland’s national research agency has said.

Announced by the National Centre for Research and Development on its website on 18 December, Polish universities will be given a total of PLN 35 million (€8 million) to create online systems or purchase licenses for relevant software.

Both public and private universities will receive funding, which will be allocated in proportion to the number of students at the institution. The funding comes from the Operational Programme Knowledge Education Development programme.
