The governments of Italy and India have signed a scientific and technological cooperation agreement for 2017-19.
Representatives of the two countries have selected 24 joint research projects to co-fund, in areas including the environment, energy, sustainable agriculture, medicine and ICT, the Italian government announced yesterday.
Funding for the projects will be available via two schemes: one will cover travel costs for researcher exchanges between the two countries, and another will co-fund the projects directly. The announcement did not say how much funding either country would contribute.
