Poland bags €305m for research

National centres in Warsaw and Krakow to benefit from EU loan

The European Investment Bank (EIB) has agreed to loan €305 million to Poland to bolster the country’s public funding of two national R&D centres, it announced on 16 October.

The centres are the National Science Centre in Krakow, which supports basic research in science, technology and humanities, and the National Centre for Research and Development in Warsaw, which focuses on applied research and development projects.
