European Investment Bank agrees €24 million in first loan to National Centre for Scientific Research
The European Investment Bank has lent its support to a €48-million expansion of Greece’s largest public research centre, the Demokritos National Centre for Scientific Research, by providing a €24m loan.
Three new buildings are to be constructed and existing facilities renovated under the expansion, the EIB said in a 24 January announcement. The centre will also expand capacity at its Lefkippos Technology Park in a move meant to boost Greek collaboration with international businesses.
