Planned legal changes include measures to eliminate bias in grant evaluations and sexual harassment protocols

Spain’s science minister, Diana Morant, has announced planned legislative changes to strengthen gender equality in the country’s R&D sector.

Speaking at a national summit on gender equality on 4 November, Morant (pictured) said that while Spain ranks sixth in the EU when it comes to gender equality, there is room for improvement. She said greater gender equality can also help to make Spain greener and more prosperous, because the country will be better able to draw on the talents of its women.
