EU loans to bolster Polish science

€542 million will be split between National Science Centre and Polish Academy of Science

The Polish government has taken two loans from the European Investment Bank, which it will use to fund the country’s basic research agency and academy of sciences.

The EIB said on 22 September that a €365 million loan would go to Poland’s National Science Centre (NCN) while €177m will go to the Polish Academy of Science.
