Switzerland’s research community warns of dire consequences if ban is approved by popular vote

Research leaders have warned that a proposed ban on animal and human testing in Switzerland would be disastrous, leaving the country isolated in terms of research and medicines.

“A total ban on animal experiments and research on humans would cause Switzerland to lose touch with international research,” said Matthias Egger, president of the National Research Council of the Swiss National Science Foundation.
