The country is looking east and west as it tries to build strong research ties in Europe

The Central European Institute of Technology spreads its operations across four universities and two research institutes in Brno, the Czech Republic’s second city and capital of South Moravia.

As the city’s flagship research consortium, Ceitec even boasts two purpose-built premises. To the north, in sight of the wooded hills, a sharp-looking facility at Brno University of Technology is home to advanced materials research, cleanrooms for contaminant-free nanotechnology and microtechnology fabrication, and labs focusing on Industry 4.0.
