European Parliament delegation finds academic freedom is being “attacked” by Polish government

MEPs have found “cause for great concern” during a visit to Poland, saying that academic freedom in the country is being “attacked” by the government.

Representatives of the European Parliament’s Committee on Culture and Education went on a fact-finding mission to Poland at the beginning of the week in an effort to shed light on growing concerns around academic freedom in the country, as well as artistic, cultural and media freedom.
