Copenhagen has most of Denmark’s young science elite

The University of Copenhagen houses most of the members of Denmark's recently launched Young Science Academy. Eleven of the 16 members of the academy, launched by the Danish Academy of Science and Letters on 5 October, work at the University of Copenhagen.

The youth academy is made up of scientists who have obtained their PhDs within the last seven years. Its aim is to bring together young scientists across disciplines in order to strengthen basic research and the connections between science and society, the ‘mature’ academy said.
