Plan to scrap technology board draws EU criticism

Plans by Denmark’s government to stop funding the Danish Board of Technology (DBT), an organisation fostering greater public involvement in science policy, have drawn criticism from the European Parliamentary Technology Assessment.

The 6m kroner (€807,000) that cutting the board off in 2012 will free up would go towards research and innovation, the government said.
