Ingrid Stage, head of DM, the Danish Association for Masters and PhDs, has criticized industry organizations for overlooking the importance of the arts humanities after the country's Chamber of Commerce suggested that science courses receive more courses than the humanities.
Emilie Wedell-Wedellsborg from the Chamber of Commerce was cited by the newspaper Politiken as saying that funding should be granted based on subjects’ importance to society, implying that certain arts and humanities courses contributed less to society than other subjects such as science and engineering.
