The Rush Foundation and the Copenhagen Consensus Centre have teamed up for the RethinkHIV research initiative which will focus on reaching an agreement on new priorities on HIV/AIDS spending in Africa, it was announced on 28 September.
The centre, headed by Bjørn Lomborg, commissioned a panel of world-renowned economists to come up with a list of priorities. These have now been published and include vaccine research and introduction of circumcision in infant males to reduce HIV in future generations.
