Minister pledges to make Horizon 2020 more flexible

The six-month Danish presidency of the EU, which started on 1 January, will aim to make sure that the Commission’s research programme Horizon 2020 is “marked by more simplicity and flexibility” than its forebears, Morten Østergaard, the minister for research and higher education has said.

Less bureaucracy is “a prerequisite for securing greater participation of companies, especially SMEs”, he said in a speech on 10 January.
