Government lands research budget deal

Denmark’s government has managed to reduce planned cuts to the country’s technology foundation in 2013 in a budget deal announced on 8 November.

Under the agreement, previous proposed cuts to the Danish National Advanced Technology Foundation (HTF) by 240 million kroner (€32m) annually over next three years have been reduced. The government said it found an extra kr45m for the foundation, which offers co-funding for university and business R&D collaborations.
