Østergaard: Denmark will drive Horizon 2020

The Horizon 2020 research programme is a “paradigm shift” and Denmark’s government will do its utmost to get it finalised before the summer, Danish science minister Morten Østergaard told a ministers' conference in Copenhagen on 1 February.

As the current president country of the EU, Denmark will aim to have a draft structure in place for Horizon 2020 by May, he said.

“We will work diligently and constructively and our ambition is to take a big step towards preventing any gap between the Seventh Framework Programme and Horizon 2020,” the minister said.
