Danish research council chairman joins EIT board

Peter Olesen, chairman of the Danish Council for Directed Research, was appointed to the European Institute of Technology and Innovation (EIT) governing board on 24 July. Olesen said he felt honoured and called the appointment “exciting”. He will take up the position on 31 July.

The governing board oversees the implementation of the EIT’s strategic innovation agenda. This will provide the incentive to create up to 600 start-up companies and train 10,000 Masters students as well as 10,000 PhDs.
