Sino-Danish uni centre to open in 2015

Construction for a Chinese-Danish centre for education and research, which will bring together universities from both regions, has started in Beijing.

The Danish Industry Foundation has donated 99 million Danish Kroner (€13m) to the joint project between the Danish foreign ministry, the Danish government building and property agency and the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

The 10,000 square meter facility, called the House of the Danish Industry Foundation, will have the capacity to house 300 to 400 degree students, 75 PhD students and 100 researchers. It will also act as a liaison point for Danish companies in China. The centre is expected to open in 2015.
