Denmark proposes residency deal to keep foreign students

The Danish Government wants to issue residency permits to all international master's and doctoral students to encourage them to stay in the country once their course is completed.

The government is planning to generally loosen up visa and residency regulations for international students and scholars to attract more students to stay in the country to work, it was announced.

According to the revised rules, students will have six months after graduation during which they can stay to find work, before they have to leave the country.
