Nordforsk, the Nordic research funder, has announced a research programme on the environment and social challenges.
Nordforsk will collaborate with Nordic Innovation, an institution promoting Nordic innovation, and Nordic Energy, an oil and gas company, to fund the research programme. Nordforsk made the announcement on 13 November.
The programme focuses on promoting the sustainable management of natural resources, an innovative resources industry and ensuring that society’s needs are taken into account in policymaking. Funding for the programme is expected to be about 100 million Norwegian kroner (€12m).
