Nordea, a Nordic bank, has signed a partnership with the European Investment Fund to provide low-interest loans to small and medium-sized Danish companies for R&D activities.
Danish companies can apply for loans worth up to 1 billion Danish kroner (€134m), Nordea said in a statement. The agreement will last for the coming two years.
The deal guarantees Nordea EU backing for half the loans it gives out, lowering the associated risk. This will allows the bank to grant loans with lower interest rates to small innovative businesses, Nordea said.
