Advisory group established

Denmark’s research minister Sofie Carsten Nielsen has appointed nine board members to a new council that will advise the government and parliament on research and innovation.

The Danish Research and Innovation Policy Council is to replace the Danish Council for Research Policy. It was announced on 1 April that the new council will be chaired by former rector of the University of Southern Denmark Jens Oddershede.

In addition to research and innovation, the Danish parliament agreed on 25 March that the council should also advise on technology and innovation, in connection with the Danish Innovation Fund.
