Aarhus University in Denmark is to launch the first distance-learning engineering degree in the country.
The degree, covering electrical engineering, will be offered from August this year, Aarhus University said in a statement on 17 February. Students can choose to either attend classes and lectures at a set time online, or watch videos of the lessons in their own time.
“It is the first time that students in Denmark will be able to get a full engineering education without being physically present at a university,” Aarhus said.
