Foundation backs clinical practice

The Danish medical research foundation Novo Nordisk has announced it will fund a programme of nursing research.

In a statement on 28 January, the Novo Nordisk Foundation said it would allocate 37.5 million Danish kroner (€5m) to the programme over a five-year period. The money is to fund one kr7.5m project per year.

The aim of the programme is to carry out large projects that have value in clinical settings, the foundation said. The programme will fund projects focused on prevention, rehabilitation and relief through nursing, and will also give medical practitioners experience of research management, it said.
