A data management and software centre that will help researchers analyse data from the European Spallation Source has opened its doors in Copenhagen.
The ESS Data Management and Software Centre (DMSC) was inaugurated at an opening ceremony on 26 August. The centre, located at the University of Copenhagen, is equipped with software and hardware that will help researchers analyse and visualise experiments carried out at the ESS, a statement said.
The ESS is a €1.8 billion neutron-based particle accelerator under construction in Lund, Sweden. The research infrastructure project is funded by 17 countries and is expected to be completed by 2025.
