Big data and AI push to entice students

The Danish government has approved 19 university programmes in information technology, robotics and big data with a view to increasing skills in these fields.

The programmes will enable students to handle large amounts of data sets, the government said. “More and more companies are seeking employees who can understand and work with large data flows,” it said in a statement on 12 December.

Aalborg University, Aarhus University and the Technical University of Denmark will each run three masters and three bachelors courses in IT and big data, the government said. Aalborg will also run a course in robotics.
