Aarhus faculties to cut jobs

The health and science and technology faculties at Aarhus University are to shed up to 30 administrative jobs, according to union representatives.

Both faculties must make savings of 7.5 million Danish kroner (€1m) and as a result will make job cuts, two union representatives have said. They were speaking to Magisterbladet, the news website run by the DM union, and Omnibus, Aarhus University’s staff and student newspaper.

Up to 25 employees in the two faculties are facing redundancy, while another eight positions may not be renewed after retirement, Magisterbladet reported on 19 September.
