Finnish budget bill slashes research funding

Finland’s government has unveiled plans to cut funding for universities and research by €171 million, or 6 per cent, compared to this year in its 2012 budget published on 5 October.

According to the budget review, the University of Aalto and other universities will have funding worth €30m trimmed from their budgets.
