Finnish foundation funds language study

Finland's Kone Foundation awarded €6 million towards a project to support the documentation and status of the Finno-Ugric languages and Finnish minority languages on 1 February.

“The language programme encourages open interaction between language users and researchers during the various stages of the documentation process by, for example, applying the methodology of citizen science”, the foundation said in a statement.
