More women than men graduate

Data published by Statistics Finland on 15 March shows that women graduates outnumber men. In 2010, 54 per cent of university graduates were women.

Finns are also becoming more educated. In 2010, 39 per cent of the population had completed a university degree or equivalent vocational study course. In the 1970s, only 9 per cent of the population held these qualifications.
