Tekes lures leading global researchers to Finland

Tekes, the Finnish funding agency for technology and innovation, is paying for 11 prominent international researchers to come and work in Finnish institutions.

Tekes hopes that the new recruits will help Finnish institutions and industry to compete at an international level. Their projects will focus on sustainable energy technologies, organic food production and improving wastewater management in mines.

“In recruiting new researchers, we are exploring areas in which Finnish companies need an extra boost to be successful,” said Hanna Rantala, an adviser to the agency.
