The Finnish government aims to sponsor R&D projects in the shipbuilding industry and support innovative start-up companies as part of its supplementary budget.
In the extra budge, which tops up existing funding and was decided on 21 May, the government requests €23.3million to award to R&D projects in the shipbuilding industry.
The government also seeks to spend an extra €4m on programmes to develop the Finnish maritime cluster.
