Esko Aho, Finland’s prime minister between 1991 and 1995, is to teach a business course at Aalto University.
Aho has been appointed an executive in residence at Aalto—a term used for the highest members of academic leadership at the university. He will be teaching the university’s English-language Business in Society course, which covers themes such as the government regulation of companies, public-private cooperation in the digital age, and corporate social responsibility.
“Good corporate governance requires an understanding of the risks and opportunities of society,” said Aho in a statement on 16 March. “Success requires both the right vision and tools, which we want to provide through this course.”
