Universities to collaborate with government labs

The Finnish government has approved a plan that aims to boost cooperation between universities and outside research centres.

The plan was developed between Unifi, the Finnish university organisation; Arene, the organisation of universities of applied sciences; Tune, the association of research organisations; and eight government ministries. The aim of the plan is to increase collaboration between universities and government research centres to improve efficiency and competitiveness.

The government said in its blog on 31 March that it would publish more information about the plan in a report by the end of April.
