Aalto and Helsinki tighten links

The University of Helsinki and Aalto University have signed an agreement to increase cooperation between the two institutions.

In a statement on 26 January, Aalto University said that the aim of the agreement is to increase Helsinki’s international competitiveness in research and higher education. Another aim is to more effectively translate research into products and services for the benefit of society, the statement said.

“Through this agreement we will be able to better plan our cooperation,” said Tuula Teeri, rector of Aalto University. She said that digitalisation was one potential area of collaboration, as well as investing in joint research infrastructure.
