The number of clinical trials conducted in Finland rose by 44 per cent between 2014 and 2015, the Finnish Medicines Agency Fimea has said.
In a statement on 5 January, Fimea said that it had recorded a total of 184 clinical trials in Finland in 2015, up from 128 in 2014.
The increase comes after a decade-long decrease in the number of clinical trials, from 293 in 2004 to 128 in 2014. The majority of trials done in Finland are part of wider international studies with involvement from several institutions around the world.
