An investigation into a case of alleged research misconduct at the VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland has found that the accused researcher, Matej Oresic, broke no rules.
The investigation, published by the VTT on 11 November, found that no scientific misconduct had taken place. The investigation was led by Seppo Koskinen, a professor in labour law at the University of Turku.
The VTT launched an investigation into the case after the newspaper Helsingin Sanomat published an article in February accusing the former head of the VTT, Erkki Leppävuori, of hiding the results of a 2014 investigation into misconduct at the centre.
