Finland is projected to spend 2.8 per cent of its GDP on R&D in 2016, according to figures from Statistics Finland.
R&D expenditure in Finland amounted to €6.1 billion in 2015, which is €440 million less than the year before, Statistics Finland said on 27 October. This amounts to 2.9 per cent of GDP.
In 2016, R&D expenditure is estimated to fall by a further €100m, which would put Finland’s spending on R&D at 2.8 per cent of GDP.
