The Norwegian government announced funding worth 400 million kroner (€52m) for science equipment on 26 October. The funding takes the country's total spend on science kit over a two-year period to 1bn kroner (€130m).
“With this investment we are giving research of importance to society a significant lift,” said Tora Aasland, Norway’s research minister.
