Publication incentives pay off in Norway

The number of Norwegian science articles published each year rose sharply over the last decade, according to figures published by the Norwegian Research Council on 27 November.

Articles with at least one Norway-based author nearly doubled from less than 5000 in 2000 to over 9300 in 2010, according to Indikatorrapporten 2011, an in-depth study of Norwegian R&D indicators.
