Norway to set up research and education council in Moscow

The Norwegian government is to establish a research and education council in Moscow in Russia, it announced on 18 November. The council is intended to develop contacts between Norwegian and Russian universities.

“Russia is an important partner for Norway,” said Tora Aasland, Norway’s minister for education. “Through this position, the relationship will be stronger. I look forward to seeing increased cooperation between Norwegian and Russian academics and industry.”
