Government asks research council to evaluate doctoral education

The Norwegian government has asked the Norwegian Research Council to evaluate doctoral education in the country, the council announced in a statement on 6 September.

“The evaluation will provide a basis for assessing whether there is a need to make changes in doctoral education. It is particularly interesting to see if Norway has succeeded in providing the doctoral community’s needs in an efficient manner,” said Anders Hanneborg, a divisional director from the council.
