The Norwegian Research Council's first innovation strategy, due to be published in the autumn, will focus on increasing innovation in the public sector, the council announced in a statement on 30 August.
“Norway has an advanced public sector that has shown great capacity for renewal. We know however that there is a need to improve and streamline public services. More service innovation and greater interaction between research, policy development and management is needed,” said Anne Kjersti Fahlvik, the head of the innovation division at the Norwegian Research Council.
