Contract to safeguard independence of contract research

The Norwegian government launched a contract on 29 February intended to protect the independence of researchers contracted to do work.

“Research is not for sale. It is important to ensure confidence in political and professional decisions. We therefore attach great importance that the public always considers using this agreement when entering into agreements for research and development work,” said Tora Aasland, Norway’s research minister.
