Oslo gets gene mapping lab

A gene mapping laboratory with equipment worth 50,000 kroner (€6,700) was unveiled at the University of Oslo on 29 February.

The new machines will allow scientists to map the genes of animals and plants faster, since data is processed much quicker than before, said Kjetill Jakobsen, head of the laboratory.
