Fund for international work

Norway’s research council Forskningsrådet has launched the first call for its international partnerships programme.

The 70 million Norwegian kroner (€8m) Interpart programme aims to increase networking and collaboration opportunities between Norwegian and international researchers, Forskningsrådet said in a statement on 3 March. There are eight priority countries outside Europe that the programme aims to focus on: Brazil, Canada, India, Japan, China, Russia, South Africa and the United States.

The aim is to improve the quality of research in Norway through more international cooperation with countries that are either considered “outstanding” or have the potential to become research leaders, Forskningsrådet said.
