The Norwegian government has launched a long-term strategy for the bioeconomy that focuses on cross-disciplinary research.
The strategy, published by the government on 29 November, aims to promote the sustainable use of renewable, biological resources into food, health products, energy, materials, chemicals, textiles and other products.
The government said that this will help to promote employment, reduce greenhouse gas emission and achieve a more sustainable and efficient use of renewable biological resources. The strategy is a cooperation between 10 government ministries.
